A Labor of Love 30 Years in The Making

Q-LiFE was created in 2008, during the first term of Hon. Dakila Carlo E. Cua, the governor of Quirino province. The program aims to alleviate poverty in the rural areas by addressing the challenges farmers face, such as the lack of funding, product development, and marketing, and as well as production issues.

It is part of one of the priority programs of the Quirino Provincial Government, complementing the 4 pillars of development: Health, Education, Livelihood, and Public Infrastructure.

The progressive development of the program gave birth to the Q-LiFE feed mill, reinforcing the development of the livestock industry in Quirino Province. In 2014, The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) partnered with Q-LiFE, strengthening its agricultural development thru the Quirino Integrated Agricultural Development Project (QIADP), lending its financial and technical expertise in agro-forestry, cattle breeding, fruit bearing trees and vegetables, rural development, and the establishment of a Q-Life processing center.

What We Do

Q-LiFE provides financial and technical support to Quirino farmers for their production of crops and livestock, with careful monitoring Philippine Veterinary Office (PVET) and Office of the Provincial Agriculture (OPAG).

The produce from these farmer-beneficiaries is bought by Q-Life at reasonable prices, which are then processed into products, such as the Q-Life Ginger Tea, Turmeric tea, and bread from squash and mongo. Some of these products, such as the bread buns, are even distributed in select schools and day care centers, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and National Nutrition Council (NNC).

Q-LiFE Program

Q-LiFE is part of the “I LOVE QUIRINO” movement, the flagship program of the Provincial Local Government of Quirino province. The program consists of four pillars, namely: Health, Education, Livelihood, and Public Infrastructure.
